Very nice looking setup and a happily munching BP.

Is that substrate or some kind of carpet-type stuff? Dig the background as well.

You might want to try getting the humidity up and lower the cool end temps a tad as well (i see the acu-rites and i go into autopilot temp-checker lol sorry).

My son had both lights on at the same time he was taking the pictures, it's usually cooler on the side with the water...lol

My son and i are arguing about the humidity in the tank, he say's the humidity should be higher only when it's shedding, i think it should be higher all the time. I mist my anoles all the time to keep humidity in the tank but i have no snake knowledge because i don't like them....lol

Gotcha - wsant trying to give you a hard time.

Lights are harsh on humidity. I had to pretty much ditch them and cover most of the screen lid with ConTac paper when I was using glass tanks. If you maintain good humidity sheds shouldnt give you much of a problem at all - shoot for somewhere in the 50-60% range. If you can maintain that you may not need to bump the humidity for sheds - it's been some time since I have had to do anything extra for the sheds to go well. I resisted the dark temptation of tupperware for some time but the ease of maintenance in all aspects (mostly maintaining consistent moisture and temps) made up for losing the clarity of glass.

I'm not overtly advocating that - in fact the number of enclosures and necessary maintenance routines probably did as much as anything else to get me to switch.

Welcome to the forum. This place is truely a great resource and it's busy enough that most questions that arise get answered pretty quickly.

I love the tail hanging out pic. Those are always kinda funny to me LOL.

I'm a mom too and though I adore our snake I'm having trouble with a son that wants a *shudder* big spider. Kudo's to you for accepting a pet that isn't totally to your liking (I'm trying to get to that place...but...a great big spider! aackkkk!)

Oh let 'em get a nice cuddly Rosehair at least - they are even lower maintenance pets than snakes and all they ask is some weekly crickets and a chance to do the happy dance!

I'll defer to Schlyne on arachnid info anyday, I've only got 10 or so - but they are pretty addictive.

I'm with her on that one...NO SPIDERS! We live in the freakin forest as it is and I have an ongoing war with the spiders that have decided my house is more comfy than the whole dang outside!

I'm sure they make wonderful pets but even pet loving me has a limit LOL.
