Aww, That's so sad, I know we can't rescue them all but it's good you got the little girl. When I first got Pandora, She was in a 40-gallon tank (still is), with the dirtiest substrate I've ever seen, I don't believe that rats would even approve of it. The tank its self-was in a pretty bad condition too, weird stickers all over it, melted areas around the frame where the screen pops into, and the screen even had a hole with books covering it, It was also just sitting on the floor where the cats could jump up onto it. She had a 14x10 inch hide when she's only 36inches long (way too big for her) she was only curled up in one little corner of it. And for a waterbowl, just a plastic Tupperware dish (feeding grounds for bacteria). She also didn't have any heat on her and when I picked her up she was cold. I brought her home and went to the pet store right away. Got some things for her and fed her the next day (I didn't know at the time I should wait). She's only two at the moment, but will be three soon, and was only 335 grams and was covered in the stuck shed. So far she's almost up to 800 grams within the 4months I've had her. And so far she's had two perfect sheds. I'm so happy I got her out of the condition she was in, and would do it again any day.

Same here about the agression, she even lets me pet her head nearly every time I take her out. I would defenitly get a snake from a petstore if they were all easy, no matter what other people say about them. I would rather rescue from a petstore than get a "perfect" snake from a breeder. As any problem that occurs in a petstore snake can in a breeder's snake. I hope everything continues to go well for you.
