Welcome! Great looking snake you have there! Many people are misled by pet stores, I think they keep ball pythons in glass cages with minimal hides so people can see them and buy them, not the best setup for keeping a ball python long term. I started with glass, now all my glass aquariums are used to raise up mice and rats, I really enjoy breeding rodents for some reason LOL. I actually have a pro rack system for my snakes. The only problem with a rack system is that you keep buying more snakes to fill up the whole rack LOLOL.

Haha! I think I will go for a PVC enclosure for her adult size cage, but thankfully I live in a part of Florida with humidity above 75% year round. waiting for her digital humidity monitor, but the analog hasn't dipped below 60 and has been normally around 75, so it's doing okay for now! She hasn't actually been using her hides, she seems to like curling up in the corner, not sure if it's because of how dark that corner is with the blanket curtains, but hey, whatever floats her boat!

good luck with your new ball.

Yes! I love the pastels. I like the subtleness of the morph. Very pretty!

Welcome! Very pretty girl you got! Mine don't use their hides much either, I'll walk by the enclosures and they are curled in a corner instead of their hide or on top of their hide is about as much use the hides get. Congrats on your first ball python!

That's good to know! She used it once or twice but has mainly been out of them now. I think it's because of how dark the tank is in general. And thanks :) I'm glad to have found this forum - all of my friends and family think I'm nutso!
