Yeah, the Mr Bungle is pretty darn entertaining to listen to. :) I love how they made that song, an original, but it still sounds like it could be a classic from the 50's. People always ask if it is a remake. That and Tower of Strength.

'Pink Cigarette' is i think my fave track off that album ("California" for those playing along at home).
You like Tomahawk as well?
Patton has best male vox, Natacha Atlas best female IMO - in both cases the range and control are pretty much insane

I like Tomahawk. My favorite song of theirs has to be "Hitch a Ride." I love all the weird sounds he makes!

Re: Soundtrack of your life...
goodness... i don't know if i could narrow it down to ten. those last few spots would be hard to fill. "true love waits" by radiohead and "anyone else but you by the moldy peaches are the only ones that come to mind. oh, and "satan gave me a taco" by beck, just because. :)
or you could skip the list and just take the soundtrack to "until the end of the world." best album ever made, seriously... tho i've never been able to find the movie. check yr local used cd bins.
and yay for bungle... i was surprised enough to find one person listening to them, let alone have a second pop up. they're a great band, and you have to love patton. his ep with dillinger escape plan is awesome, and a new fantomas just came out (thinking of new stuff). oh, and you two also check out mars volta, great stuff. just got the new one, so had to plug it.

Re: Soundtrack of your life...
Yeah, I admit I learned about Bungle/other Patton stuff from my boyfrieind. i always just thought of him as "the guy who was in Faith No More, the band that did that Epic song.." but it is really amazing when you dig deeper into a band and listen to their really good stuff, not just the one hit that happened to be popular. I was mad to see FnM on VH1's One Hit Wonder show; they are so much better than referring to them as that!

I hear ya, and there are definitely songs I like more than the ones on my list, but they are all very significant in representing something to me. When I went through my last breakup, I actually burned a soundtrack for it, with the sad stuff, then the angry songs, then the getting over it and moving on music, and it was pretty therapeutic to listen to for a while. It's easier to pick songs that go with a certain time or situation, for me, than for a lifetime. :)

I have done that too. :) It is always a big help to include a song or two that completely mock the person you are trying to get over. Like my last breakup a few years ago, I included a song that my friend and I had made some "nice" alternate lyrics to, about my ex, in regards to his status as a complete loser (he owed me money. :)
But yeah, I definately agree; with CD burners these days, you really can make soundtracks for your life. It is awesome.
