Re: Blue eyed Lucy has turned pink
Here is a closeup shot of his eye; please remember he's a blue eyed Lucy...

And the pink had diminished around the time of this pic. It comes and goes now, maybe due to his time in his hide, and more pronounced now due to his age, as was discussed...

He probably looks a bit thin. He has been fasting several months. Though last feeding attempt he showed interest and snapped at a rat for the first time in ages. That's why I'm glad to hear I can still feed him, cause I think he's finally getting hungry!
Today I also found that the inner surface of his warm hide was covered in condensation, and he doesn't seem to have urinated. What could have caused this? Sorry for asking so many questions, but I've been seeing things happen with him I've never seen before. I just want to be sure there's nothing to be concerned about. Thanks again...

Does anyone have any more insights to offer, based on these pics, and the question of the condensation in his hide? Much appreciated...:)

I have a white snake that is turning a bit pink, she is a spider pied 'white wedding', only a few months old and had just a few meals. The guy I bought it from said that as it ages it will lose all of the pink and turn a bright white color, it's just a baby thing. Your snake does look a bit thin, is it young? How much does it weigh? What have you been feeding it? I always try to offer fresh killed mice at first, if they don't take that I'll offer a live rat crawler, seems like my young ones don't care much for fresh killed or frozen thawed and need something live. That's the benefit of raising my own mice and rats, I can get my picky eaters to eat something (most of the time).

The last I weighed him he was at about 850 grams. He's about a month short of two years. I know his growth is behind schedule, as he hasn't eaten in several months. He was feeding happily upon f/t mice and rats for awhile. I regret not trying to re-pique his appetite with live prey, but I didn't want to be stuck with a pet rat. Of course I didn't think I could return a live item to the pet shop! I've only got two snakes so far, so it's not practical to raise my own prey yet.

Congrats on the white wedding. As I understand it they are the whitest of the solid white morphs. :)

I'm most concerned about his eyes! Any input about that first pic would be greatly appreciated. I just want to be certain that it's just a case of his eye caps not having come off, and that there's nothing I need to do but wait for his next shed, and make sure his tail and eye cap have been shed.

That does not look like a retained eye cap. Idk what it is though.
