Might have been another issue - but I've decent experience setting up database apps - though admnittedly our home network is not on a domain or anything. And it has been a while since I've tried (name of app has changed in the interim as well). Been so swamped with other stuff including site, work and family havent had the time. I had checked the site and the FAQ's for documentation but didn't find anything - mind you this was back from when it was HerpHelper.

Yeah, the help file is way lacking. ;) Every time I sit down to write it, I wind up working on new stuff for the program instead.

All you need to do is install on PC1 (server)

Then install on PC2 (client) and map a drive to the server.
With the drive mapped, goto the edit menu on the client, then system setup data, and path options and set the server path. (browse to the location of the degei.exe on the server)

There are a couple bugs on the client remembering settings, but those are going to be fixed in the next patch.
Honestly, besides myself, I only have 2 other users that use the feature.

    SWEET!

Thanks, Damon. This will lend it much more efficacy as my wife and I have herps (and PCs) scattered throughout the house - in fact the bulk of what she cares for is back in her computer nook/office and most of the rest are downstairs. I know all too well how it is to be busy amigo - and also too familiar with the exciting realm of system documentation lol! (I keep promising myself a job change).

First, you buy me a mac.
Then you buy me a copy of RealBasic.
    Then you fund the development.
    ;)

Might as well come over to the dark side, Mle - sounds like mac might be popping Intel chips in their boxes soon anyway:( If I was still building systems as anything other than the cheap way out I'd offer to hook you up.

oh now see if they start using intel chips then yeah i'll have to switch. i was looking into getting one of those $299 dell deals (mostly just for browser testing and pc only apps) but then they want $99 shipping and i'm not going to go and almost double the price of the computer with the shipping.

Check slickdealz.net daily if you are even thinking about getting a Dell. They frequently have stackable coupons that lead to insane discounts on systems. Just had a couple of friends get some systems that way and they say there's no better way to go . . . other then growing your own, of course.
