Yes, it would be very difficult.

If I could find a GOOD home, with someone experienced and enthusiastic I would give them away, rather then sell.

I would even consider a person that was relative new to the hobby. As long as they are the kind we sometimes find on here, the ones that ask the right questions and go about everything the right way.

My problem would be shipping. I would rather someone picked up, but that would be hard to find ;)

I have a problem trusting people. I think most people have good intentions, but when their lifestyle changes (a lot flop around finding themselves) then they put themselves first and that can make those who depend on them 2nd rate.
The pets I have, Pitbulls & Snakes will stay with me and that is why I have to be careful about going into things 1/2 cocked... If I gave a pet away and learned it Passed because someone was inexperienced or neglected it then I would have that in the back if my mind forever.. And I wont be responsible for cutting one of Gods creatures lives short because I gave away the responsibility.
If my life had changes that I couldnt help, health, a loved ones care ect... And I couldnt take care of them anymore, than that is totally another Ball game and we can only do the best we can under certain circumstances.

I couldn't imagine selling any of my snakes or beardie as I'm attached to them and like you, I got them as little tiny babies. The only snake I rehomed was Allison my JCP. I liked her but it just reached the point where anytime I reached in the cage, I stood a 50/50 chance of being tagged. After something bites your hand so many times, you just have to move on. But I also didn't get her as a baby so I didn't really have time to get as attached to her my other stuff.

Strange as it sounds, it's like waking up in the morning to the kids lol. I make my rounds opening doors, checking for poop, petting heads and bodies and usually fighting Caesar off with a twisted up paper towel hahaha.

Oh my gosh, I would have a house full of snakes if I bred them. I can't imagine letting one go :o I seriously love my guy, I fed him two days ago and split from school ASAP because I was so stoked to play with him (and this is not the first time). :please:

I can relate to the pain of rehoming animals. I had a couple of kingsnakes that were very dear to me. I was at my capacity in terms of the number of critters I could keep but I really wanted more snakes. It was very hard parting with them but I knew that I preferred keeping larger snakes so I found a VERY good home for them to make room for 2 new critters. I still love and miss the kings but I'm very happy with my choice. I don't forsee any of my current crew going anywhere. :D

Letting snakes go has to be the hardest part of the hobby. When I decided to start breeding my pied I realized it'd go a lot smoother for me if I traded up a few of my morph girls for het pied versions. So I sold my spider and got a spider het pied, and sold my black pastel and got a black pastel het pied. I'll be able to produce visual pied combos now instead of just hets, and I love my new girls, but I still miss the ones I lost.

It's comforting to know they've found good homes. The lady who bought my spider girl talked about how excited she is to breed CG Spiders and I'm sure the clutch will be amazing. The lady who bought the black pastel seemed really taken with her too. I'm sure they'll both be just as loved and just as well taken care of as they would've been if I'd kept them.
