Re: Question about feeding change and possible effects
Guinea pigs are not appropriate for boas as their fat content is too high. Larger pythons do fine on them.

Boas do great on rabbits though.

Oh no no no I would NEVER feed her guinea pigs. Not only is it not good for her, but my daughter would NEVER forgive me lol

I would be surprised if your boa didn't eat anything you dangled in front of its face. Vicky has tried to bite her water dish once when she smelled dinner thawing out. And like mentioned, wet is fine. I generally thaw my F/T out in ziplock bags. Then rinse them under warm water to warm them up more and then pat them dry as I don't like aspen sticking all over them. I used to use paper plates and stuff but i'm lazy now so I just pat dry them, open the door and dangle the rat/rabbit and they slam it and eat it. Everyone is big enough now that i'm not worried about a few pieces of aspen being eaten. Boas are really easy to switch over. Heck, Dottie my BP switched from live fuzzy rats to F/T small rats without me doing anything other than the normal warming, rinsing and pat drying. Easiest BP ever to feed except from Nov to Mar when goes on her hunger strikes lol.
