Re: SnaKE not EATING PLEASE HELP
My ball ate last week and the previous meal that she had was on December 26th. I had tried all kinds of tricks to get her to eat - smaller rat, all white, light on for proper number of hours, etc. I would attempt to feed her when it was time for my boa. I would leave the rat in her enclosure overnight and, if still there in the morning, I gave it to my boa - he never refused. A couple of weeks ago I did a thorough cleaning of her enclosure and replaced her substrate with new stuff. I waited a few days for her to get accustomed to her, somewhat, new enclosure and tried to feed her and she took it. This messed up my process (leftovers going to the boa) and I had to feed the boa on his own. Also this meant that I had to schedule the two snakes to be fed at the proper times. But so happy that she is back on schedule.

I just went through an 8 week fast with my young bp 223g and 6 mos old. She just refused, i did everything you could think of to get her to eat. She just decided to eat on her own, and she never lost a gram in weight, so all my stress was for naught. Just defrost the rat on top of the cage, hit the head with some heat, and keep trying, but not more then every 5 or 6 days. Too often will just stress it out.
