I thought they were more into the $20s or so range.. alright then, cool. I'll definitely at least get one soon(maybe others later when I get an actual job). I checked my walmart a bit ago and I don't think I saw any acurites. I'll look again though, my Walmarts recently started to change everything..

Assuming your current hygrometer is accurate and that your humidity is still indeed too low, you can also try buying some spaghnum moss! It's a dried up brick of moss for like 8 bucks, you break off a part, put it in water where it greatly increases in size, and then put the resulting moss damp into a hide on the warm side! Lots of bang for your buck, those small bricks turn into a truckload of moss : )

Aha, I already have some, well that and another kind, I just forget what the other one it.. I got it at petco so. I use it for the humidity boxes, but I could put some around in the tank. I also, on three(out of four) have the duck take and aluminum foil on the screens, which helps but I just got duck tape to fix it(one tape I was using decided it didn't want to stick well for some reason), so I'll be fixing that here in a moment.

I also just did the eco earth+a little bit of the small animal paper bedding(no bleach) on one side, and on another aspen+the bedding in another snakes terrarium to see how it would go. Humidity was too low til I misted it, should be good now, can't tell at the moment since she knocked down the hygrometer, however when it was still a bit too low she stilled seemed to liked the set up lol, at least two hours later she's still exploring, and she's actually drinking water for the first to third time i've seen her drink it, definitely first time i've seen her soak in it. :D

I was using aspen with a wet sponge and my humidity was 45-55. Switched to reptibark and I can get it to hold around 60 without the sponge and just misting down the cage once a day. Much less work and I like it much better for it's looks and behavior when soiled.

I thought of getting reptibark to mix in the eco earth, but figured this time I want to try this idea I had, since i just wanted to do it and had these in my house already- instead of wait to go to the pet store that I already need to go tomorrow or Tuesday and I didn't know how much humidity the reptibark would add- always looked like a lot due to seeing the humidity in the bags.
