Re: *WARNING GRAPHIC PICS* First Real Bite!!
Wow, sorry to see that. I recently got tagged by one of my female Calfornia red sided garters. So I know a bite from that boa was no picnic.

Yeah, she got you good. What set her off, or is she just nippy?

I think it was mostly just I surprised her, but I also remembered it's nearing feeding day so that probably didn't help. :(

Took the gauze pad off today, kinda bruised and sore but not as bad as I thought. I'm glad she wasn't a Retic or other giant!!

Yes! Although I don't think I would've tried to pick her up if she was. :bolt:
Re: *WARNING GRAPHIC PICS* First Real Bite!!
Many years ago I had a 10 ft. boa constrictor attack my wrist and begin to constrict my arm before trying to eat my hand during a feed with tongs that were too short. I got it off the feed mode by spraying it's head with cold water, leaving similar gashes that you received. It looks like your healing up nicely, but having a cold water spray bottle nearby may be useful when it gets hairy :-) Nice boa constrictor btw!
