Didn't know how exact is has to be. We were told by the pet store they were simple and low maintenance.

They are easy and low maintenance if you do the research prior to purchase a snake and meet their needs.

You can also use a acurite thermometer with probe for temps on hot spot and put unit on cool side for cool temp and humidity. Walmart usually has them for $12 if not you can get them on amazon for the same price. You also need a thermostat or lamp dimmer for you che or bulb. Like everyone already said don't use the uth until you get a thermostat or something to regulate the temp. Using thicker substrate won't do anything either bc snakes will burrow and get burnt again.
