    I agree with Gio, they regulate their own intake.

    My 14 year old actually took preemptive measures to her strike this past season by tanking up on food on her last two feedings in August and September. She had an insatiable appetite. She ate between double and triple amounts on those feedings. She knew that she would be fasting soon.

    She has not eaten since and this is the first time that I have noticed significant weight loss. She just refused a medium f/t rat yesterday that I left in her cage for a few hours. She refused to strike it as well.

    8 months so far, I'm concerned, but not worried.

    My 900 gram male just ate his first f/t rat Sunday night since he quit end of December. I tried a bunch of different things and kept offering every 2 weeks and he finally ate. Frustrating I know but just be patient and yours will get going again soon.
