I knew you would be ok, you asked a lot of the right questions and I think you got all of the info you needed before. Glad to see another person thinking ahead and being successful because of it.

**As for the mouse being wet and needing to dry it...

Personally, when I get my feeders I separate them into individual bags. I keep a small tupperware container with a lid maybe 4" square and 3" deep (ish) with "Snake" written on it. I fill with water approx 100 F and then drop in the ziplock bag and close the tupperware container while pushing all the air out.

Patience is key with snakes. You can leave that feeder in the enclosure for an hour no problem.

Good luck in the future and remember, don't sweat the feeding patterns of a Ball Python as there is no pattern :p

that's great to hear! a BP eating f/t on first offer is always a good sign that u are doing it right. congrats. :gj:

Thanks again to everyone for the positivity! As for putting the feeders in a separate bag, i will do that.. idk why that didn't come to mind, is it bad if its wet?

BP's are fickle. some will take wet prey, some will not. lol some will even dunk their prey in the waterbowl before swallowing. i just think there is concern that a wet mouse/rat will get substrate stuck on it while feeding. so if u use aspen or whatever, your BP might eat a few pieces of wood.
