I'm with everyone else. Don't pay a dime
I havent given a penny to a chain pet store in several years and don't plan to. Please don't help contribute to these stores. In my eyes even buying dog food or kitty litter is helping to support them.

I have developed a pretty good relationship with the staff and have made MANY suggestions about the temps and whatnot. It just seems to fall on def ears. I suggested that putting it in it's own enclosure with smaller hides for a while because it's stressed out. The managers response was "we don't have the extra space." Half of their cases are empty!! I went back yesterday and they said it was brought to "the wellness center" whatever the hell that means.

I don't think you should buy it. They don't deserve to be in business, so don't do business with them. Consumers vote with their money. This kind of care is unexceptable and should not be supported with your money.

I have only really been buying substrate from them, but more of going there and hearing others opinions, I'm gonna swear off of them. I know I can get cypress mulch from home depot or lowe's. What do I need to look for when picking some up? I know untreated but what else?

You want pure cypress, anything with the word "blend" on it is at least 50% pine, 10% cypress, and the rest is "whatever we were cutting that week". I called the manufacturer and asked.
