Come on! I can smell the thawing rat. (Shag was not interested in the bills which you can see in the reflection)

Shag is one beautiful coastal T. Looks like he's thriving in your care. That 2nd pic is really nice.

My small jungle will not take the fuzzy of tongs and I see that she didn't eat last nights offering. :(Disappointing. Looking at her feet chart it seems she is refusing ever other feeding so I guess I will quit trying to feed every 5 days and see how she does on every 7 days.

That's interesting that your female is intermittently skipping meals T. How do you offer your prey? You've got the right idea though. Spreading out her feedings a little more might get her on a consistent schedule. Did Shag get the leftovers?

I heat the thawed fuzzy under a heat lamp to a 100 degrees or so and then just present it to her on tongs. When it is presented to her she pulls away like she is intimidated by the fuzzy so I just leave it lay for her to hopefully consume when she is ready. I almost didn't even try to present it to her at all last night fearing it does more harm than good. I hope she becomes an aggressive and consistent eater because something about a timid and inconsistent eater is really unpleasing to me. I didn't offer the fuzzy to Shag because he is taking 25g rat pups and the fuzzy is only 5g. Too small, right?

The fuzzy might be too small for Shag as a meal but it would make a nice little snack. As long as somebody eats it and it doesn't go to waste. I guess your king or corns could dispose of it too. That's why it's good to have other snakes around. My kings will go off feed during the winter months and breeding seasons. Whatever they refuse goes to the other critters.

I see but I had just fed the corns a fuzzy each yesterday and the fuzzy was a large meal for them and the fuzzy is too large for the king or the hognose just yet so unfortunately it went in the trash. :(
