Re: preparing terracotta hides
do you use those in all your hatchling tubs and why do you use them? ....sorry just something I have never seen before:)
Re: preparing terracotta hides
that would be super easy to clean. daily water changes in a snap--toss the old plastic cup, replace it with a new one. very good idea there. :)

I use plastic deli cups in all of my cages (babies and adults) ... they certainly do make water changes very easy (especially when you're talking about a couple of hundred animals) .... cleaning is still cleaning though ... each water container gets cleaned each week ... the main reason I use them though is disinfecting ... I am a nut about sanitizing everything and disinfecting water bowls weekly is a real pain in the pooper when you have a large collection .... with the deli cups, I don't feel the need to disinfect as often although I still do it on a regular basis.
I am really psycho about keeping things spotless, so anything that can help my collection stay sanitary AND reduce the amount of time spent cleaning get a big thumbs up from me.
