Great shots and what cuties they are. Shelby got me to thinking, do the snakes have the same chances as there other clutch mates from single eggs? Does the twinning have any compromise on their systems? Maybe I found something to go research..lol

Aside from them being smaller than normal (about half size), we've found twins to be perfectly healthy 99% of the time.

Facinating.. do they catch up growth-wise pretty quickly?

Absolutely! We hatched twin granite Burms a couple of years ago & it was only a matter of weeks before they were up to "normal" size for their age. I'd reckon it'll be the same with retics, especially considering how fast they grow.

One is already out of the egg & he is just a little doll...more pics soon!

Lovely babies Kara! Mike wanted to know what type of snake that is in your avatar - he thinks it's amazing looking.

Her avatar pic is her to die for (or kill for) male blood python 'Rolo' (I think that's his name anyway..)

Sorry for answering for you Kara, I just love that animal. :)

Yes - that is RoLo (aka Rojo Loco) - my favorite Sumatran red.

I've actually posted quite a few photos of him in the blood forum - you can find the thread here.

Thanks for that thread Kara (again it was more than well worth the wait for dial-up). What a truely awe inspiring snake. I'll say it again, I can not imagine how one feels when a unique baby like that is hatched out. Heck I suspect I'll be stupid goofy if we ever get even one lil normal b.p. born of our future breeding attempts.

I've never seen two snakes in one egg "EGG HAX, OMG I'M TELLIN' T3H GEE EM"
Translation for old people: You hacked the egg, oh my god, I'm telling the game master.
