Where is your thermostat probe? I hope you are running a thermostat. The probe should be between the tank floor and heater.

Like I mentioned, next time get the heat tape style ones like Ultratherm or Fluker ones. You can order them from pretty much any online store. I get them from Bean Farm personally but I also live close to them so I just pick everything up at once when I swing by there to load up on my aspen bails. I like Zoo Med stuff but I don't like their UTHs. I had one actually short out on me under my dubia bin. Luckily it didn't catch fire. It was one I removed off a tank and I think it must have gotten bent inside somehow as you could see the melt spot on the outer shell where it shorted.

There's a big difference between a thermostat and a thermometer. Which probe are you talking about here?

Re: Re attaching uth?
I have the uth plugged into a thermostat and have one of the outdoor/indoor thermometer with a probe and I put the probe for the outdoor temperature between the bedding and glass where the uth is located

Re: Re attaching uth?
The thermostat I got doesn't have a probe just two plug in spots for heaters and a dial to turn up and down

That would be a rheostat not a thermostat.
