A few years ago I had a blood clot in my left leg resulting in chronic pain. After about a year and a half of drawing on my leg with a sharpie I finally got the words "Be Strong" tattooed on my bad leg. I'm planning to get a tat next month to memorialize my grandparents. I've got samples of both of their handwritings and I'm going to get their initials above and below a black and white blue jays logo

I just got Yingarna, my Bredli carpet python, on my lower arm yesterday, husband gets his in a couple weeks. I have issues every summer with my wedding band, and so we were thinking of ring tattoos. The staff at Liberty Tattoo (Libertyville and Antioch, IL) discussed the issues with tats on hands with us, and I decided to go with a snake armband instead. Sydney did the base artwork, Eric Lynn did the tattoo.

I didn't want a traditional Orobouros, so Sydney has Ying crossing back over her tail.

Here's the just-finished pictures and some reference shots of real-Ying:

I have a cross on my back with a note that reads "Greater love has no one than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13"

Christian or not I truly believe the world would be a better place if we all thought this way.

I don't have one yet but planning on getting one - long story short for a while I took after my late grandfather who was a sailor during WWII and did that for a while. My tattoo idea which I have yet to finalise and get is basically an anchor to remember my grandfather as well as fitting what I have done and a snake as the rope because I am passionate about reptiles.

Right forearm text - Hviler Til Opstandelsens Morgen (Roughly translates to Rests til the Resurrection morning) It's the inscription on my 3xGreat grandparents headstone. They immigrated to North America from Norway through Denmark in the early 1800's.

Cool BR8080, same here, both of my grandparents came over from Norway (to Brooklyn NY) but later in early 1900's, got a bunch of Norse stuff... Yggdrasil, Mjolnir, dragon, ravens, helm of awe, old traditional stuff + this more modernized horned piece.

Edit: and I also have a Fatboy ;)

Nice. I've got an artist in Chicago working on a sleeve for me with Norse symbols and the like. In addition to family pictures and stories handed down, I've done a lot of ancestry.com stuff and found some interesting things. Skoal!!!
