    As KMB has said on here many times, stop worrying so much about the humidity of the whole tank. Place damp moss in the snake's hides. Once the moss has dried out naturally, redampen and repeat. If the snake is in shed, make sure the moss never dries out. The snake spends the majority of its life in its hide, so if the hide is humid it doesn't really matter if the rest of the tank has low humidity. I've been practicing this method now for three shed cycles and have full, clean sheds every time.

    If you can't afford moss, that's a bigger issue.
