Re: Hi from South Georgia
Jake, I haven't used RHPs with glass tanks. They're usually mounted inside a pvc enclosure but you could probably place it on top of your tank's screen top. If the RHP doesn't work for your tank a CHE or IR heat bulb surely will.

I've still got a bit of looking to do with the heat supply so any input would be great! Thanks
Does the tank have a screen top? We taped this thermal cardboard on all sides of the tank besides the front that we got from friend. That has helped keep the heat in as glass tanks with screen tops let heat out very easy. We also put damp clothes over the top to raise humidity and keep the heat in. We use a CHE with the UTH on the hot side. We centre the CHE right in the middle of the screen and this keeps a perfect gradient temp.
Can't wait to meet your baby when you get one! I was surprised how long they lived too but I love that about them.

Right now it has no top so I'm pretty much open to whatever... I'll probably get a screen top and mount a piece of plexiglass or something across the top but leave a small gap so that a little air can circulate... I'm not 100% sure on it yet though

Sounds like a good plan with the plexi glass I would cut out a circle for the CHE and leave a tiny bit of extra for air circulation.
