    Same happened to me today with a hopper mice.
    Had to clean him up because he's been literally red all over his body... It was so hard not to throw up... 😕

    Anyways, he ate it as usually after sniffing it for about half an hour what kinda disturbed me the most ^^

    I didn't want to bother him too much after he had such a hard time swallowing it back end first, and then I gave him a big scare by trying to get a closer look while he was trying to get himself back right side up - for a scaredy little guy, that was probably particularly scary to be LOOKED AT while in the most vulnerable position he could possibly be in. So I came back the next day to clean it up. And apparently the whole area still smelled like mouse, because when he saw the movement outside the tank he came over and poked his head through his tube at high alert. It was evidently very rude of me to take him out and rinse him off and clean up his tank, instead of handing over another mouse!
