Do you have him in a tank or a tub?

I have him in a 20 long tank. Paper towels as substrate. With a under tank exo heating pad on one end

I have a sticky one on that side of the tank near the bottom. I don't have one on the pad no

THERMOSTAT not thermometer.
I would bet that the surface temperature off the glass is 100+ degrees.
