I just love their facial expressions!! My son wants to get some Leopard Geckos. What type of substrate are you using? Will you have to remove all of it for cleaning, or do you just "spot clean" when needed?

It's a "desert mix" substrate. Since the only thing to clean will be the poop I will be spot cleaning. I'm not going to let crickets loose in there so I won't have to clean up after them. I'm feeding them crickets and dubias with tongs. That is why I have that substrate. Since there's going to be nothing to attack I lessened the risk of impaction. I also have mealworms available for them in a dish at all times. There's a ton of people that frown upon sand substrate, but at the same time theres a ton of people that still use it with no problems. But some people rather not take the risk. Personally I don't see a problem with it. Especially the way I'm doing things. It allows them to dig burrows as well so they can make their own hides/caves. I guess it just comes down to personal preference. If you don't wanna risk using sand and don't like the plain look of paper towels, use excavator clay. That thing is awesome. I used some to hold some rocks and wood in place.

Lol. Thanks! I'm gonna beef them up and get them real healthy for at least a year before I get my male and house them together. They're all going to be different morphs so I'll get a variety of combinations with the babies. [emoji4]
