    Not only is breeding frustrating to owner and ball python alike. It is a instinct that overtakes every other activity in a ball pythons life to the extent that it may even cause death. Especially if that male is overbred and paired with numerous females. The overbreeding can lead to weakness and lethargy, continued inappetance and injuries to the hemipenes. Including and not limited to excessive weight loss and muscle mass reduction.

    Thanks for all the input. I will monitor his weight over the next few months, and hopefully he will start eating again soon.
