Love seeing some of you going into wildlife related fields and biology. I got my undergrad in elementary education and a masters in environmental education. There is nothing like taking kids to the outdoors when they have never really experienced it. Most kids now are lucky if they have been to a forest preserve just for a walk let alone learn anything from actually being in the field. When they do they really eye opening expressions.

My goal is to work in either a conservation field or wildlife education

Well I'm going to be the liberal arts major crashing this thread ;) Classics with an emphasis in Latin, though I really wish I hadn't done that! Turns out I'm not a natural when it comes to language learning. Other than the Latin, though, the rest of my major-specific classes have been a blast. You know you've found the right subject for you when you practically skip out the door into wind and snow to get to class at 8:30 in the morning. I'm also minoring in History, which is pretty neat too.

That's awesome! At first I was going to be an English major, but I worked a summer with a company doing education with animals at fairs, and decided to scrap that idea. I absolutely hated my bio classes in middle school and high school, but now it's killing me that I've had two semesters in a row (counting this one) with no bio at all.

I was just gonna do zoology, but my marine bio teacher got me really into the intricacies of ecosystems and environmental issues. I was considering environmental science for a few minutes until I saw how much engineering that major requires haha.

P.s. I've always wanted to learn Latin!
