    I heard about a similar incident at work.

    One of the co-ops went to taco bell and tried to pay with 2$. The cashier wouldn't believe the bills weren't faked, and finally got the manager. At least the manager knew it was legal tender. After about 15 minutes of hassle, he got his meal for free.

    It could have been worse, Mike could have shown up with a sack of $1 coins.

    Good grief! Apparently retail establishments need to add a currency mini-course to their training programs.

    Considering that alot of the fast food cashiers I have dealt with couldn't give you change without the register telling them the exact amount it's not suprising that this type of thing happens.
