Some recessive genes clean up and some dirty up what they touch this het pied brightens things up much like het clowns do too.

It's a beautiful pastel. The het pied may be adding something but I'd still say just pastel. I think because there have been a lot of average pastels born, sold, bred, that we often think a really nice one is something other than just Pastel. I had a pastel hatchling this year from a pastel to normal pairing that, much like yours, almost looked light enough to be a super. Yours has much more blushing and pretty reduced markings where as mine was a real busy pattern but you can see in the first pic how light her head is and that she almost looks void of color.

Here is one of her after first shed and she looks much more yellow now.

This last one I just took today.

All of these were taken without a flash and with a cell phone so there is no enhancements, not even cleaned up on Photoshop. She looks even better in real life then these photos show. She is about 300 grams and still a real nice bright yellow. I think she is a nice example of what pastel can be. Out of a clutch of 6 pastels she was by far the brightest. The other five looked really nice too in the beginning, but then quickly started looking more like an average pastel. You should definitely hold her back and throw a lightning gene such as Fire, Vanilla, or Sulfur with her. I'd bet the results will be nice.
