    Yeah that should work. I just use an appropriate sized Sterilite tote and crank on the cars heater. Can use hand warmers, the water bottle wrapped in a towel or also the 20 oz bottled water containers filled with hot water and then slipped into a sock to keep the snake warm too.

    Or just get a space heater to bump up the temperature for the room your snake is in, and let the rest of your house be cold.

    So I ended up not scheduling an appointment because I always panic too much. I'm just going to call around and make a list of reptile vets in case of emergency. Noki is currently chomping down on a rat!

    It looks like that's some kind of sand or very fine substrate, right? Could it be that your ball has got some sand in the wrong places?

    I had been using aspen shavings (the kind used for small animals where the pieces are much bigger than shredded aspen.) Then I switched to paper towels temporarily. I use cypress mulch now.
