We already did that. Lol. When hers was on the left she had slightly more humidity than she does now. His didn't change until we removed his substrate. Then it went from the freaking 90s to 75. Right now it's at a very happy 65% but that's because I lifted his top for about five minutes.

Like I've said though I just hate to do much more at this point. He's probably wiggin out.

Try putting a few holes in the tub lid over the warm side. As the hot air leaves it will draw in some cool, dry air.

Check the room to see if there's an HVAC vent affecting the tubs, there may be a lot more air circulating around one than the other even if they are side-by-side.

Finally, if the male is getting into his water dish he may be displacing enough so it overflows, which will crank up the humidity.

I'm really leaning towards an issue with one of the gauges here. With most of them, if they have gotten wet even one time it can ruin them, or screw up their accuracy. And if the male is soaking, either the humidity is not that high, or he has mites and you haven't seen them yet. I have had a snake that appeared to be mite free developed them later, and it was a hard lesson learned. If swapping instruments between tubs doesn't show a fault, then he is either very close to a shed and coming from a very dry setup, or something else is off.

Pick up the tubs and switch places. See if the problems persist. If the problems change tubs you have a location issue. If the problems persist, the problem is in the tub.
