Nonetheless, I’m a lazy guy so I’m going super fire to super vanilla for my vanilla creams. Probably not until the 17/18 season. The sv girl’s a 2012, but only 1100 grams. One of those funny snakes that eats as much as everyone else, but just doesn’t grow at the same rate.
That was my biggest concern was selling something that was misrepresented. All we have is our reputation in this hobby. The first Fire I sold left no doubt about its genetics, but the second one I sold to a couple who were just interested in a pet snake. I told them I was 95% sure it was Fire but there was a chance it was actually Vanilla. They said they didn't care as they just loved the looks of it. The other snake that I presumed was a normal was just given to a person as a pet, so again no issue of misrepresentation, and I have not seen it again to verify what it is. Worse case scenario is I gave away a Vanilla male which I'm fine with as it was a gift regardless.
I hear you about some snakes just not growing at the same rate as others. I guess its the same as a person with the high metabolism that pounds down three hamburgers, fries, and a Frosty at Wendy's and still looks like an Ethiopian marathon runner. Some people have all the luck. However when you are trying to bulk up a female you don't want her to have that kind of luck.
The way you are doing it is the best way to go if you have the opportunity to do so. There is no doubt as you will produce a clutch that is all VC. I look forward to your thread some day in the future.

Thanks Pit. I was pretty happy to see how she looked after this last shed.
