    i attempted the moist paper towel method for about 24-36 hours. It helped to make a few more small scraggly pieces start showing themselves under her belly. I decided it still looked like she needed help so I went ahead and did the warm bath in the plastic container WITHIN my enclosure. I added a rolled up rag in the center of the box for her to rest on and have something to rub her body on. I also added just a FEW drops of olive oil to the water to help with softness. I didn't need to soak her for more than 30 minutes and she had already managed to remove 90% of the stuck shed. After taking her out, I let her slide through a warm wet rag to get any last pieces off.
    Unfortunately she still has some stuck shed on the top of her head including one retained eye cap. I tried removing the eye cap gently with a q-tip, but had no luck. I suppose I'll have to wait until the next shed like some have recommended.

    So if anyone else ever comes across this post for the same reason, don't stress out. (Great advice from the previous posters!) It can be a longer process to finally see it start to shed in tiny pieces. At that point, a warm bath DOES help. Im looking forward to making a humid hide for her with sphagnum moss in the very near future to avoid this happening again.

    Thanks for everyone's help!

    That's real good news !

    I'll get slaughtered for this but I'm an advocate for those baths when needed ... I found by using a rough textured towel and applying very , very gentile pressure to the snake's head when it climbs through will normally help remove the little bit of retained skin on the head and eye caps ...after the next shed if required or even in a few days if its really bothering you .

    Honestly, I really appreciate this update. I just came across this thread and had the EXACT (And I mean literally exact) same snake symptoms as you. He had a completely stuck shed, only a bit of skin off the nose was peeled back. The humidity was not as low though, it was around 30-45% on a daily basis. Now I have my whole room (including the terrarium) at 55% average, and since I put the moist towels in his hide, it is probably around 65% in there. I will give him another 36 hours and give him a final bath (Only if he really needs it), and then I will feed him. He is already two weeks without food, so hopefully he will be ready to eat by Thursday.

    Thank you so much!

    BTW: If anyone sees this thread, feel free to add more to it :D

    @HenryTheSnake

    I'm glad this thread helped you out a little bit! I'm curious to know how it all worked out for you?

    I'm just kind of anxiously waiting for Salem's 2nd shed to roll around and trying to optimistically hope that this shed is much better than the last one. She still has the one retained eye cap and I'd love to see it gone!

    I finally have humidity maintained at a steady 55-60% and a perfect temperature gradient. I'd be shocked if it WASNT a good shed this time around.

    It somewhat worked. Because of the humid hide he was able to make some openings in his skin, but wasn't able to take any shed off. I had to bath him for 15 minutes, and then work the shed off him myself. The only shed he has left right now is a little bit on the neck.
