    I only skimmed through these posts, but you absolutely need to get your dog to the vet ASAP. My dog had kennel cough, and it overnight went into pneumonia, sending him to the intensive care unit of our local animal hospital.

    And yes, many vets take the dogs into the back for all shots and procedures.

    In back or in the room with you can even vary within one practice - different techs and doctors have different preferences.

    Not all practices call with reminders, ours sends postcards.

    If you're not comfortable with your current vet, definitely find a practice you prefer.
