also if u do decide to breed him, can't go wrong with making 8 Balls or Grey Matters. or u could do both. u have a few decades to decide after all. :)

He was my first Ball python and I thought I made a mistake not buying another boa lol. I adore his little face. I may breed him at some point in the future and if I do, 8balls and grey matters will probably be what I aim for.
anything u did specifically to tame him... err cultivate his nice and calm personality? i got an occasionally bitey baby.

When I got him I gave him close to a month with little to no contact except for feeding and cleaning. I thought maybe he needed more time to settle. It wasn't until I fully understood that it wasn't agressive behavior but extreme fear that drove him, that my tactics changed. (He was pretty bad. He never tried to ball up or run it was pure fight from him.) I started by pulling him out for 5 to 10 minuets once or twice a week and if he bit me I ignored it. I then would pull him out for longer periods. I'd let him curl up in an old shirt on my lap while I worked at my computer or read a book. Any time he started showing a bit of progress I'd pull him out for just a little bit longer. Now I can take him out 3 times a week roughly, without an issue. It was just a lot of patience and getting him fattened up with rats (Even though he's still so small). I also noticed that holding him closer to my body like my chest or lap helped. I think there is a tendency to hold nippy animals away from us but that only seemed to stress him out more. Good luck!

I found that it's exactly what everyone else was saying. It's a matter of being a "safe place" for them and the knowledge that you are not interested in eating them.

I do this kind of this all the time. It's probably the only thing that saves me from spending a ton of money on new baby snakes lol
