My one spider cruises around often, although he does use his hides, he loves to climb and is out-and-about quite often.

My Jimmy starts cruising around a couple of days before feeding. He is out and about all day and night, then after feeding I don't see him for a couple days. I just got in on the 11th and thought he was more active than he should be. Now reading this I know it is normal.

Thank you all. I do feed him in his enclosure, I do not see a reason to move him and stress him out. He returns to normal behavior (hide all day, explore at night) a few days after feeding.

I was curious if a hopper was too small. I need to buy more food soon so perhaps I will go up a size. I have not purchased a scale yet to weigh him.

That's a photo of him balled up. So perhaps he should be eating bigger than hoppers.
