Thanks for your reply.....but it's a lot more than that.... And I have a thermostat on the UTH. I'm afraid that this old farm house will be drafty no matter where she is, and I can't check temps and humidity every few hours. Our old house was new, so it wasn't a problem. Our new one was built is 1839 [emoji79]

Been in your shoes, and your right, there's nothing you can do that doesn't involve major renovations. I stayed in a house for 3 years that started life in the early 1850s as a stagecoach stop, and we would need propane at least once a month. Also had to run electric space heaters because some rooms wouldn't get out of the 50s otherwise.
