I am planning to get a digital thermometer/hygrometer this upcoming weekend when I have time to get to the store. I've tried some of your suggestions and already see a difference in readings. Right now the ambient temp is 80 and the warm spot is reading 90 after I adjustedthe thermostat as Albert said. I'm just worried about the humidity being too high now but I'll have to wait until I get an accurate reading to tell. It has been very humid here the past couple of days though and I'm just worried about her getting RI.

x2 to post above. I have a breeding size female in QT for the last few weeks now and am using one of the cheap analog Zillas in a tub slightly larger than yours. These thermostats are not accurate or even consistent, you will likely have to adjust it a few times to dial it in. I have it set at 103ish and that's keeping the belly heat at the bottom of the tub right at 91, the probe for the zilla is in between pad and tub with a digital temp/ humidity probe against inside bottom of tub over the pad and doublechecking temps with a laser. A temp gun is a must in my opinion, its the only way you're going to be able to get reliable and exact temps on your animals.
