I actually had a similar experience happen to me a couple months ago that scared me half to death! I heard a loud, wet, gurgly fart noise and it startled me because no one else was in the room. Turns out it was just one of my snakes leaving behind a pleasant surprise for me to clean up.

i thought one of mine had a respiratory infection. It's farts sound like a human death rattle last gasp breath and it had me worried til i made the connection.

Only heard it once and was scared out of my mind cause the room was quiet when one let it rip. I thought there was a dinosaur in my closet!

Had snake in PVC cage in bedroom closet. He farted so loud at 2:30 am it woke me up. "How does something so small make such a big noise?!"

My BP darted so loud one night I heard it from the other room. I was so surprised due to having just got him I looked around the house for what made the noise then I saw the aftermath of it in his tank! A turd bigger than my cat can make!

i was feeding my other BP's when i hear a loud "pooooooott!" and i'm like WTF lamo! "pooooot!" omg wtf. lololol. "pooot!" i look around and see Rain on top of her hide - sharting into her waterbowl. lololol. she's like at 800grams now. so much noise from an animal so small. it was like the sound an uncle makes when he asks u to pull his finger.

i was shocked and amused.

anyway here's her waterbowl i retrieved after the coast was clear.

Not once would I have ever imagined reading a thread about a snake farting.
