That is only one out of 21 snakes I own though so I doubt it is common).

Smell is very important to them. At a certain point was he fed something else. A hamster, ASF, gerbil?

When are you handling him? How often?

How do you thaw out the rat?

Does the tank have bright lights? Heating lamp, room lights, display lamps?

Is in a quiet bedroom or a high traffic area like a kitchen or living room?

But he always struck the 6months I had him before all the feeding troubles started? He is eating though less regularly than he was but atleast he is.

    - He has only been fed F/T mice. I bought a bag of rats from rodentpro but he has refused to touch them. He's only eating about 7-8% of his body weight since I can't get larger than adult mice from the pet store and the rats are not his cup of tea.
    - Thaw it by leaving it out on the counter for a few hours and then heat with a blow dryer
    - Been handling him less over the last couple months due all the feeding concerns. Maybe once a week in the evenings. Definitely not on feeding day.
    - The tank has an undertank heater and an infrared heat lamp at the top to maintain ambient.
    - It is in the living room, but in the far corner facing the wall with 3 sides covered up. So from his point of view he sees the wall and it is not very bright in that corner of the living room. He would see someone walking around only if I came in the front of the tank which isn't that often.

I'm just concerned that with the amount and frequency he eats, he's not gonna grow up to his full size. Also, not striking anymore does have me concerned why hes stopped.
