Pictures would help a lot. Yawning twice a day should not be something to be concerned about really.

New baby Ball Python 4mnths old and im noticing a few different problemsa
First, me and my gf bought our first snake about 2 or 3 weeks ago now. The day after we brought her home we noticed she had a couple little black bugs on her ..we researched and figured out these were mites. We bathed her in Bendine soap. We went back to the pet store and mentioned the mites situation and we were told she didnt have any mites when she left. Ah Lie.. we dont even have any animals where we live. about a week later we brought Roxy Slithermenn in to the pet store for her weekly feeding and gf noticed Roxys inside of her mouth looked a bit pinkish..a bit much..so we asked and the pet store lady said it was normal color. Aweek later we noticed Roxys eyes turning grey as she must be getting ready to shedd.. and her complextion was very dull. She was very bright for the first week and a half since we got her. A day after, her eyes went back to normal color and we thought there might be a problem bcuz we did not see any other signs that she was about to shedd. We broght her back to the pet store and inquired..The pet store lady said this was normal and she would be shedding sometime within the next week certainly. Now me and gf didnt think we were suppose to feed Roxy whille she was in the shedding phase.. but the pet lady insisted that she was good to ead if she was hungry..so she ate 2 live mouses, like usual, she has no problems eating... Back at home a couple days later she began to shed dozens of little pieces..These pieces look see through skin color but have like a brown sorta color covering over the pieces that came off. Overnight she shedd completely but all down her white belly and a lil up her sides is a glassy sorta brownish scale here and there all along...as well as a peachy orange in color along the sides of her belly where her pattern ends...Her vents above where her mouth opens are very peachy orange too today. She always sticks out her tounge and it us usually like skin tonecolor but today it looks kinda grey and dark and she noticably is not sticking it out as often nor as far. She yawns every so often since the first day we brought her home and we asked about this and we were told not to worry. Yesterday gf said she noticed a big string of white saliva when Roxy opend her mouth. GF cleans Roxys home daily and Roxy has a heat pad and 2 houses ..one on warm and one on cool side. Roxy has a bathing sized dish of water we always keep fresh and Roxys temp is always between 80-90F. We bath Roxy every second day leading up to her shedd bcuz we wanted to make sure she was not to dry. Gf tries to do everything she can to make Roxy as comfortable as possible, ..right now gf is holding Roxy like a lil baby. its so cute ":) ..but we want to take her to a vet for snakes...but we can not seem to locate one in our area. would anyone be able to help us or know of a good reputable vet in our area please/? Roxy is not moving around like she first use to and she is starting to look kinda "flat"in shape,,<as the gf words it...gf is concerned Roxy is SICK... and the best ican do is help write this post and ask if somebody could reply some ideas that might help and or a Vet in our area we can bring Roxy to as soon as possible.. Burnaby, b.c. Kingsway and 14th ave. thankyou, and sorry for such a long discription, but i figured better not to miss anything... jordenn

You bring your BP to the pet store to get fed and then bring her back home? I'm not an expert here, but that seems like A LOT of unnecessary stress for her... Always make sure you're keeping proper temperatures and humidity and make sure she always has fresh and clean water available. Sounds like she had a bad shed, and the constant baths probably didn't help. Every time you bathe your snake you wash away oils that will help her shed properly. She should have a water dish that is big enough for her to fit in so that if she feels the need to soak, she can do it on her own. Also, handling your snake that much throughout a shedding cycle probably caused her some significant stress. Pictures of the discoloration would help a bunch...
Also if you're buying an exotic pet, one of the first things you should do is find out if there is a proper vet around your area, and if there isn't one close to you, that you can get to one if need be. If there isn't one directly in your town, then you may need to go for a drive. I need to go an hour and a half to take my girl to the vet. If you are extremely concerned then you can also call a local veterinary office and ask them if they can recommend anyone in the area.
