    He was already feeding her every 7-10 days, and he just switched to rats and up the size of prey. 1700 grams is not that big, barely over breeding weight. I think we will see her put on a little more size since she is eating rats now.

    Yea, don't over think things too much, if this was about her being hungry she would have thrown a fit many years ago; unless you have her breeding then she might be wanting to get more food in her. At 1700 grams a medium rat every 7-10 days is fine, you might notice her put on some size with the switch to rats.
