    I understand the rant. I get that it's annoying to read/answer the same questions about basic care, equipment, lingo, genetics, etc. almost constantly, especially since this site is a giant, searchable database of all that knowledge already.

    However, I also enjoy how active this forum is, and I think that a huge amount of activity on this site would die off if new members or inexperienced keepers stopped asking questions, either because they only used the search feature or because they got uncomfortable with others' reactions to their questions. I would rather see the same questions and have new members become comfortable posting and caring for their animals than this site become snake Google, where everyone quietly peruses the archives on their own and rarely posts and interacts with others.

    Just my two cents. :D
