    You could also try a lamp dimmer from home depot for about $9. They are great for turning the wattage down just a little for those in between temperature needs.

    Adam, that was a great point you brought up. I am ashamed to admit, I never thought of mentioning that in a nonfeeding-related post.


    My adult male went off feed last year, for about three months. Ignoed food completely anf cruised his cage restlessly; he had been used as a breeder in previous years. :) This year I think he has given up finding a girlfriend, and is eating well.

    thanks, that's a great idea actually, i have dimmers on other herp things but a thermostat on alfy's heat emitter. i always think thermostats are better but in this case the dimmer would probably be better as i want constant heat but not as much as 100w put out and a little more than 50w. hmmm, i wonder if i could combine dimmer and thermostat or is that going overboard?
