    Had that tree too. It's really only suitable for lizards like beardies that don't climb up in things, IMHO. Snakes will use all sorts of hides, so I'd get him a safer one.

    Just consider it a safety thing. What if there was an emergency in your home-- fire, gas, or other evacuation-- and you had to leave? You going to take the whole tree with you? Maybe... but it sure would be easier to be able to grab the snake and put him in a small critter keeper.

    UPDATE: All very true and valid points. Tucker is out and safe. Tree is filled with a non toxic substrate and is drying. Thanks for all the responses.
