For a successful Lavender Albino Black Pastel project you will need Black Pastel Het Lavender and Het Lavender or Black Pastel Het Lavender & Lavender or Lavender Black Pastel and Lavender (Depends on YOUR budget), obviously one will increase your odds over the other, I would go with with the option yielding the best odds.

Well, it's a good combo! I think there simply isn't much feedback on what would be a "good mix" or "better" morph in comparison to your plan, because of the answer "breed what YOU like". So if you like Lavender Albino Black Pastels, then go for it! (unless I'm misunderstanding something here...)

So I personally think the morph is great. I'm going for Albino Black Pastels with my two, just because I like the morph and think a little breeding would be fun- though it's many years ahead.

There are three things you are dealing with in picking good snakes:

The genes themselves. This is the medelian inheritance, primarily the morphs/genes we talk about. Most of these are actually alleles, half of a loci. World of Ball Pythons and OWAL calculators are your friends.

Non medelian traits. Some reduced pattern snakes are good examples of this. Sub-Saharan ball pythons might also fall in this category.

Holdbacks. Like non medelian traits, breeders have held back unique expressions of medelian traits. Like an Enchi with no dots. Or an Enchi who is slightly brighter. These minor changes don't create new "genes" but improve the expression of a given gene. Lemon Pastel might be an example of this.

So with the above advice, know what genes will give you the best odds to hit your target snake. Then two slightly harder choices. Pick a snake that is healthy and a good breeder, who has traits you want. Then, pick the best example of the genes you want to propagate. This is hard because a multi gene animal might hide a poor pastel gene or an axanthic might look great as a baby but grow up to be really brown or one of the alleles it carries might be poor quality.

This takes practice, a good eye, and buying from good breeders who are clear about what is in their snakes. And this is just the start of the conversation, it takes time.
