I take it black and my favourite bean is Ethiopian Yirgacheffe. It's roasted locally so I don't know a particular packaged brand you should look for. Good full flavour, mellow not bitter.
Ball pythons are also native to some areas of Ethiopia so it's a nice coincidence :)
