    Yes it is somewhat genetic, somewhat handling. I know that it's not entirely genetic since my cousins and my friend between them bought 4 of the babies from my first litter as pets. They are spoiled rotten and handled every day, and therefore are very sweet.

    The only one I kept was a little runt hairless female. I think the only reason that she looks small now is she doesn't have a big fur coat on. I tell every one that I'm going to keep her to breed to get more hairless rats. When deep down there is a soft spot in my heart for her.



    Other than that they're feeders. Well, my wife hates it because she gets attached.lol
