    LOL striking and coiling definitely isn't necessary or anything, and doesn't even mean that the snake will end up eating it. I was having problems with both my ball pythons STRIKING and COILING and NOT EATING the prey, 15 minutes later. :| It gets frustrating. I'd be elated if my ball pythons would just slowly eat the prey without striking- eating it at all!

    Actually, I just yesterday got one of them to finally strike+coil+EAT by lathering the rat in mouse aspen, but that's besides the point. :rolleyes:

    Just wanted to add in to say last night I did the blow dryer trick and Louie successfully coiled AND ate his mouse!! WOO HOO! Thanks so much everyone for the help!! Louie and I both appreciate it! xx
