    Non contact thermometer............ a heat gun is totally different.
    Out of curiosity, does the glass feel warm to you?

    I turned the thermostat back down to 93 since I'm worried that probe's not reading properly. But since the probe underneath the reptile carpet you'd think that it would be reading a pretty high air temperature?
    I'll see if I can get a heat gun tomorrow.

    I googled heat gun and saw a giant blow dryer lol. Figured they meant the infrared thermometer.
    Honestly the glass directly next to the heating pad on the bottom does not feel warm at all. My snake has become pretty fed up with me moving around his tank, looking underneath it and what not. He struck at the glass twice. I don't want to stress him out too much by feeling around in there.
